Unique sports-tourer.

The GTD is a truly special car. Combining the torque and

tractability of its diesel engine with the sporting reﬁ nements

of other high-speciﬁ cation models, this is a sporty Golf with

a difference.

With 125kW of power and an impressive 350Nm of torque from

its turbocharged engine, the GTD is deﬁ nitely not a car that’ll

be left standing still. It’s got diesel driveability, suspension and

dynamics tuned for a more spirited approach to the road, and

buckets of style.

The badge, fog lights and Seattle alloy wheels are subtle cues from

the outside; on the inside you’ll ﬁ nd a leather-bound multifunction

steering wheel, sports seats upholstered in our unique ‘Jacky’

fabric, gearshift paddles for DSG models and a chrome-plated

gearshift knob.

The Golf GTD has been engineered with just one goal in mind:

maximum driving pleasure. And on this count, it delivers.

From the moment you turn the ignition key you can tell it’s a

diesel like no other. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.1

seconds but still manages to return fuel ﬁ gures of 5.5L per 100km*

(combined). Its tightly-tuned handling and generous engine

performance, mated to a 6-speed transmission (manual or DSG)

and low-proﬁ le tyres, will keep you grinning from ear to ear – and

from the open road to the fuel bowser.
